Overview
Illinois legalized recreational marijuana in 2020, allowing adults 21 and over to purchase and possess marijuana. The state also has a medical marijuana program. Delta-8 THC is legal as long as it is derived from federally compliant hemp. Delta-9 THC is available for both recreational and medicinal use, and CBD products are legal if they contain less than 0.3% THC.
